Wedding Dinner

Since we were staying in a castle it was more then appropriate to have our dinner in the Knights Hall, a rustic room with long tables, big wooden chairs, stained glass windows and armor hanging on the walls. We were a little worried how toasts would work seeing as this was a bilingual wedding but it went perfectly. Julie even surprised us with a speech in both languages. What a superstar!

The Tables are set and ready

Finally, time to relax

and eat yummy food

Father of the Groom Paul starts us off with a speech

And then it's time for Father of the Bride Keith to say a few words

Chris enjoys the speeches, Melody enjoys Chris

Mother of the Bride Kathryn is next to speak

Mother of the Groom Heide finishes her speech with a big hug

then it's Heathers turn and she makes us all laugh

and raise our glasses

and smile

then Michael and Anne treat us

to a bilingual surprise

followed by another surprise...coal?

and a grill for our coal?

Chris does love to BBQ

Then its Julies turn and what a brave soul she is

we all sit in awe as she gives her speech in both English and German

and then it's our turn, oh boy this is not going to be easy

gladly they are tears of joy

followed by abounding laughter

and then Chris says a few words

Which are of course also followed by laughter

Art is always welcome at our dinner table

The likeness is uncanny, it's like looking in the mirror

Julie and Melo steal away to get some photos as the sun goes down and the moon comes out
